Food

A noble cause that definitely calls for your support

How many times have you seen children begging in the traffic signals? How many times have you felt helpless? It was very shocking for us when we came across this figure that nearly one-third of the world’s malnutrition children are from India. When we started analyzing the situation, we found out that the efforts and initiatives were already there, but all it needed was to channelize the same to the community. As Mother Teresa said, “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” As a part of our social responsibility, we tried reaching out to people to address the issue, we found that many like-minded people like you welcomed us and joined hands with us in this drive to make the nation a hunger-free country. Even the NRI community was overjoyed with the initiative to make the nation hunger-free and contribute to their welfare. Let’s pledge together in this fight against malnutrition and contribute as much as we can in creating a healthy and hunger-free society. Even the smallest effort of yours can bring the biggest smile in the lives of many. Let’s show them that “We Care and We Are With Them”

Shelter

A basic necessity to protect yourself from nature’s anger

Of all the donations, Shelter is the one need that makes the difference to a person in need right from day one. Why? Simply because a person might have health, food, education but without a roof under their head, they are simply in no position to take their life forward. A person without shelter can never live a full-fledged life.

India is the fastest-growing economy in the world but on the other hand, one-third of all the world’s poor live in India. To date, in spite of huge progress in providing drinking water, hygiene, health services, education, work opportunities have not been able to make any mass impact. The simple reason is lack of Shelter which is one of the basic needs but most often forgotton is still out of reach for a vast majority of the people.

Our Shelter initiatives – are carefully selected after thorough research. We ensure that the funds are put use in the right places, and make sure the funds we raise here directly go to improve the livelihood of an individual. Our aim is to create all-inclusive and sustainable livelihoods for individuals, families, and communities with a long-term goal of bridging the gap between the informal and formal populace to provide equitable opportunities for all citizens. Our Shelter Social Initiative lies at the heart of all that we do.

Clothing

Not about being trendy, it’s about just covering

Looking for ways how you can spread some joy in others’ lives. All you need is to spare a thought, a few old clothes, and a couple of minutes for the less fortunate. Do you have clothes that don’t fit anymore, old clothes that are gathering dust, or clothes you no longer use? Do you want to get the stuff out of your house, but don’t want it to end up in the trash? Donation is one of the best ways to get rid of unwanted items such as old belongings and clothes. You can help to lessen poverty and enrich the dignity of the poor by donating your stuff for a good cause.

The best part is you can choose to express your Joy of Giving on specific days like Diwali and Christmas or practice the joy of giving on festive occasions like New Year, anniversaries, or birthdays. You can also bring your kids and encourage them to start early to donate their old clothes and toys they no longer use or need. Feel free to call us and let your kids know how blessed they are and have them accompany you on a trip to our orphanage. You could even surprise your kids with this activity to celebrate their birthdays in a unique manner.

Healthcare

The Greatest Wealth is Health

India might have done away with counting its poverty rate since 2011 but as of 2019, 364 million people have slipped below the poverty line as per the United Nations report. The problem is not just limited to poverty, but due to poverty, additionally, thousands of unprivileged people lose their lives in India. The reason, failing to acquire a quality health care service is because of the financial crisis.

Yes, taking care of health is the sole responsibility of the state machinery but the reality is that the vulnerable sector of the society is still kept untouched by the basic health care facilities. Just due to the lack of getting the basic health facilities at the end, they come into the trap of a number of chronic and acute diseases.

Remember, Health is Wealth, or simply put it as a Healthy Nation is a Wealthy Nation. Hence, there is no doubt that unless the basic healthcare facilities do not reach each and every citizen of this country, then there is no way to eliminate the disparities from the society. The health care foundation of KVS Trust has taken the initiative for getting these disparities removed. Our aim is to provide the highest level of health facilities to children, adults, and elders across the remote areas of the country.

If there is one donation that will help a person overcome any shortcoming in life, then it has to be none other than education. Why? Simply because with education being taken care of, surely someday the kid will be able to make a living for himself. In fact, your donation to sponsor a kid’s education is actually giving him a second shot at life.

Fighting against nature’s anger demands strength and financial support

Natural Disasters have been increasing dramatically in the last few decades. The numbers too are catching up in terms of number of people affected and the length of time they are affected for. And if we are to go by the trend then the worst is expected to keep rising in coming years.

Adding to this over 40 million hectare of land in India are prone to floods. The Indian subcontinent has a history of devastating earthquakes. Geographical statistics of India show that almost 54% of the land is vulnerable to earthquakes. The destruction generated from these calamities reveal that in the struggle for survival, kids are usually the last in the line and lost in the crowd, and therefore suffer the most.

Besides the United States and China, India is the hardest hit from natural disasters due to the massive population. According to the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction around 79,732 people has lost their lives and 108 crore people were affected from 321 incidences of natural disasters in India from 2000 to 2019.
